Bonus Codes Still "Pending" (On PS4)

That's why I did the free upgrade from Ps3 to Ps4. I kinda figured in the worst case scenario, this would be the last expansion for the Ps3 version of FFXIV (which has been semi hinted at before by Yoshi but not actually confirmed)

I honestly think Ps3 users are pretty much the end of the end priority for SE because its such a difficult system to work with compared to the Ps4. Yes it has severe memory limitations and my personal opinion is that yeah they promised it originally for the Ps3, but I would have been much happier if they never ported it in the 1st place :/

FFXIV couldn't even run 1.0 on the Ps3 hardware so they had to dumb down everything for everyone so it could be forced to run (even horribly) on the Ps3 Yes I played it on the Ps3, but I would never go back to that version from the Ps4, even if they tried paying me to do so. I feel for the people that only have a Ps3, though.

that's not why 1.0 didn't come out on ps3. it didn't come out because they had to fix all of the issues on the pc side of it first. you saying that ps3 couldn't handle 1.0 is a extremely wrong since it's able to not only handle 2.55 but also 3.0 which is EXTREMELY BIGGER than 1.0 ever was. Your point is pretty much invalid instantly.

So contacted support with Amazon and was given the following statement about my preorder for the PS3 standard version:

Codes being distributed by other vendors will function the same as the ones that Amazon will distribute. After entering the initial code, the FFXIV pre-order website will generate an additional code that will be redeemable on PSN/MogStation for Early Access and DLC. However, currently this second code cannot be redeemed on these sites. In order to ensure the best customer experience, we have elected to not send out codes until they can be redeemed on the aforementioned sites.


And this is on the main page for the order on Amazon:

Amazon Exclusive Bonus: Purchase FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward or FINAL FANTASY XIV: Online and receive a code to be entered into the “Journey to Ishgard” contest. So from the bolded statement, looks like we won't get the code till the 19th, and if there is any problems your hosed.

Quick question as long as I plug in the Bonus Code for both PC and PS4 (and download via PS4) all I have to do is log on normally and my client will update allowing me to play Early Access to the Heavensward this Friday, right? Just want to double check.

So I bought my physical PS3 copy off Square Enix store and my early access status is still pending. I know ppl are trying to reassue us that the codes are coming, but EA starts in less that 2 days. Can't help but feel un-reassured.

Thank you Bayohne. I was having big doubts because i remember how horrible 2.0's early access was but seeing this restores my faith and is starting to fade away my doubts. They will completely erase after we get the codes and they work. Any way you can tell the dev's to NOT wait until the FINAL day to give out the codes cause if something bad happens during distribution, everyone is screwed lol. Again, thanks for the great news and hard work
