    Heavensward DOH Leveling Plan?

    Hey everyone!

I was curious what others were thinking for a leveling plan come early release.

It seems like the zones, flying and leve unlocks will be gated behind having a DOW/DOM leveled.

Are you rushing a main DOW/DOM to 60 first and then working on your DOH?

Do you guys think it's worth making a bunch of lv45 hq triple turn ins to get from 50 to whatever?

If they lock stuff behind having DoW/DoM leveled, then they are continuing the trend they established with ARR(and maybe with 1.0 but I was not around for that and do not know).

Personally, I plan on taking my MNK to 60 doing story stuff, then working on DoL/DoH. What order depends upon what is then known about the specialists and what skills are learned, and whatnot.

Imo its better now to go DoW/ DoM to 60 1st then go level crafts/ gatherers.
Cuz u'll have access to all zones ( flying zones etc ) which will most likely allow u to monopolize certain materials till ppl start getting there. Its like when crawler cocoon/ darksteel ore came out.
U wanna sell those iron ores u keep farming or level up and gather those star node stuff asap.

i want to take my DoL ahead first then start DoH. i think its safe to say that with bis gear it would take us to lvl53... maybe lvl54. max maybe pushing to lvl55 (without gear investment). (assumptions >< )

then start leveling DoH. priority to LTW, WVR and GSM. and i still want BSM and Carpenter. however, i have decided to specialize in LTW as a start.

for DoW i will take my main bard to 60. then explore machinist (already made 4 sets of gear for lvl30,35,40 and 45).

    Sure.. if you're a gatherer.
While gathering will be useful for the initial income boost, your time will be best spent leveling crafting and figuring out rotations.. then selling the products (with MB mats) at 500%+ markups

True but also its not like 2.0,
More ppl r at tht 4 star point. So a lot of ppl will be just buying materials for themselves to craft unlike in 2.0 a lot of ppl werebeginning/ leveling crafts unlike some who were 50 by the time ppl started playing. Thus will make ppl undercut more and the only group making a decent profit is the gatherers till fellow gatherers undercut each other. Also a lot of ppl r more familiar with end game crafting so bringing tht knowledge to crafting level 50-58/59 stuff shouldn\\'t be too hard.
Its not like they\\'ll let us craft endgame gear at level 51.
If u get to the level 60 areas 1st and gather-> craft it urself then sell then i can see the 500% markups happening, cuz barely anyone is supplying the demand. Hell u can even do 1000% markups

It's all speculation at best, but what I'm expecting to see is that the gearing process will be a huge pain and extremely costly.
Imagine if you had to gear up yourself without resorting to MB, once you hit lv 50, you can't easily make those lv 50 accessories, let alone the artisan pieces.. You have to upgrade gear about 3-4 tiers to finally reach 4 star and it also requires heavy melding about every step of the way..

So, the first few to reach that state (gearing one self without buying off MB) will have to spend tens of millions of gil, perhaps even more. That's why I'm thinking there will be a lack of master crafters even in 3.0.. basically, other crafters will be your best customers, if there are good gear pieces to sell (SE hinted they will make some useful gear pieces) I'm just thinking of that as a bonus.

Granted it's all speculation, I'm just sticking with a more familiar scenario.

remember that we will get scripts for crafters and gatherers. that we can exchange for gear.

catching up wont be as bad as now. it shouldnt be.

this will go against SE direction to make crafting more accessible. but still have that hardcore/hardest recipe content for master crafters ^^.

being 100% self sufficient is not possible in 3.0 1st month. for sure. it will take time to level/gear up.

I think we're talking about beyond scribs.. as in, bypassing the time limitation altogether and just getting to the most profitable scenario which I believe will require some heavy heavy investment (got a stack of each craft IV materia ready, they're cheap right now too )

There will be people doing the self sufficiency thing within the first week if not a couple days, those will be the people making most of the money, rest will have to pay through their noses to gear up or wait months using scribs. (Then when you consider that if you reach the top a few weeks quicker, you'll be making money that much sooner.. so most will probably just pay the premium to get geared up)
