It's E3, the biggest Videogames Convention in North America, and the big Heavensward Patch Notes unveil and live discussion will have Zero English Language Support?

Please reconsider or at least have some kind of Secondary Stream where Bayohne, Fern and the rest of the great NA Community Team can *talk* about the Patch Notes as Yoshi P is reading it?

Or else it feels like a disservice to all Non-Japanese Speakers.

    Thanks!

    Heavensward (Preliminary) Patch Note Reading
Yoshida and Foxclon will be reading over the preliminary patch notes for Heavensward!

    Broadcast start time:

As long as the publish the preliminary patch notes in english so we can easily follow along what does it matter? They are literally reading the patch notes, translating them with a translator would just be overkill. Take note that there is an english only stream the following day and the live letter is in both languages on Thursday. Its the best we have had yet, and I hope they continue to try and support both languages with the Live Letters like they have done recently. Hell, the last Live Letter was in both languages, was in France and not in French. So the argument that they are in America at an English event so it should be in English is invalid.

It's not as if they're going to E3 to do the patch notes reading. They could do that at their office. They're going to E3 to do a last push promotion before Heavensward is released. Think of the patch notes reading as an extra mini all Japanese live letter (like so many before this one) with follow up translations on the forums as per usual.

The patch note reading also takes place after the floors close for the day so they are more than like doing if from the hotel and not actually at the conference.

Luckily, there are a lot of dedicated fan translators on reddit that we can rely on to get the information before they put it up on here.

It's not my preferred information source, but it's better than nothing.

For those complaining about them not speaking English at a game convention, you don't seem to know what E3 is. E3 is a trade show only open to industry professionals and the media, not the general public.

There is an expensive ticket you can buy that lets you get without being in the industry. If you want the free tickets though you have show that you work for a game or related company.

quoted from E3's website " E3 - Electronic Entertainment Expo. The annual video game conference and show at the Los Angeles Convention Centre. " Game conference = Game con, con can stand for conference (made by the professionals to inform professionals and fans) and convention (made by fans for fans or made to show fan appreciation) both tend to have the same meaning in this type of shows. it isn't a 'trade show' it is a conference to tell people what they are doing how they are doing it and they tell there biggest input the players :3 a trade show, tends to be more of This is what we HAVE and what we WANT :3

Not sure where you saw that. From the E3 site: https://www.e3expo.com/show-info/2541/about-e3/
    About E3
E3 is the world's premier trade show for computer, video and mobile games and related products.

As far as those saying it is available to the public: https://www.e3expo.com/attendee/2549/attendee-faq/
Is the show open to the public?
No, E3 is not open to the general public. E3 is a trade event and only professionals from the interactive entertainment industry will be allowed to attend.

Actually this is the first year the general public will be allowed into E3. But I'm pretty sure I read it will be limited to 4000 tickets for the general public.

Not that that really makes a difference with this. I'd rather read through the notes myself in half the time than listen to someone read them to me. And have to sit through the Japanese and the English translation. That would take forever.
