Heavensward pre order payment problem

Not from Italy, but having the same problem. Also using Visa.

Card is the same one I use for subscription (which passed earlier this month with no problems) and successfully "pinged" for 1€ when I place my order, but today I got the "Payment failed" e-mail.

Checked with bank - they think it's something on the SE side, but will dig deeper if the transaction bounces again tommorow.

Well then just to lets you know guys, i got mail from SE customer service, they are sorry for the problem and say to contact your card service and see if there is a problem, if not to add a new card on your account and lets them know, pretty much if tomorrow you get a failed pay mail you can say bye bye to the preorder, nice job

Bah, never had so much problems for purchasing an expansion in 10 years of MMOs.

Well that sucks. I never had any problem with paying anything with this very same card and now all of this? Pretty sure that when they made that 1€ test withdrawal everything went fine, too. Guess all that's left to do is wait for the next attempt and relative e-mail.

A few things to note (we had a thread about this in General Discussion a few days ago): Use the Chat Support option in Square Enix's support center. It'll get you help immediately, instead of you waiting for an email for days. Second, if your card has been replaced since making the pre-order you need to use the chat support to tell SE to manually change the payment method on your order - just putting a new card on your SE Store profile and making it the default won't be enough for orders that have already been placed.

I myself got my card skimmed while in the US a few months back and had to do exactly this yesterday because they tried to charge my old card, which is closed. It could be more difficult to change from one typ of payment to another though, as apparently one user couldn't switch from a debit card to using PayPal, even if he asked the chat support.
