As for the issue you have logging back in, usually, if you full blow kill the FFXIV .exe process, you can usually jump right back in. Usually being the key word here. I know it doesn't fix the issues with losing the chance to fix re-entering Behest or anything else similar to it but, at least you may not have to wait 5-10 minutes to get back in. I've tried shutting down the game, restarting my computer, cursing at my neighbor, and even threatening to pour water on my motherboard, but none of it works. I play with a few friends that returned with me, using vent', and it always comes to that same conclusion - As soon as the character is kicked off of the game, you can log back in, no matter what methods we use.
