Broken Camera Angle

I've got the same problem mentioned in this thread.

It's in resolved issues but no working solution was mentioned within the thread.


Update:

It seems the true issue is the camera and many of the various UI are locked into scrolling upwards which in effect causes the camera issue.

Double post.

Reset Camera returns to the broken display.

The HUD settings automatically scroll to the top.

The in-game map automatically scrolls up. (It's as of now unusable).

Changing movement settings / camera settings does not resolve the issue.

Tilt Camera, Zoom Camera, Return Camera to Saved/Default Position, Flip Camera, and Toggle Camera all do not correct the display.

Point Camera ↓ seems to attempt to return it to normal, but the camera is automatically scrolling upwards.

The issue persists after logout and continues when logging back into the game.

The issue renders the game unplayable (as far as camera angles are concerned).

My controller is having problems (PS3 Version) connecting now. (I think this is related to the core issue)

Upon further testing, I believe the issue lies with an issue in the player input settings during game play (for example a dropped controller or for some reason the controller disconnecting while performing certain in-game actions). Through performing certain actions in-game and the player input then disconnecting the settings become locked, saved into the system files. I assume a complete and total re-installation of FFXIV may fix the issue.... I may try it a little later. But the game itself is an incredibly large download accompanied with it's various patches and updates.... Therefore complete re-installs are not viable solutions. IMO the issue needs to be formally patched by the game's developers.

Ok.

So, it's the right analog stick. The keybind for the right analog stick is scrolling upwards on its own. When I go to alter the controller settings, if I switch Move Camera to the left analog button and Move Character to the right analog button, I can reset the camera to normal. However, my character is now perpetually running forwards. The map issue is corrected but the HUD options are still scrolling to the top of the screen.

Is there a solution for this very specific issue?

Disconnecting the controller itself resolves the issue completely until the controller is again connected.

Okay.

So, I've reset the console and the Issue persists. I'll change the controller next.

A second controller seems to have solved it.

The issue on my end is resolved.
