I doubt it is the case but it could also mean bad news. For example, most of those sound like positions that are already filled, what if part of the old team went on strike/decided to walk out all at once due to bad treatment/hours/work load/yoshi.p chain smoking and blowing too much cigarette smoke in their face etc.

Probably not the case but all things must be considered.

he isn't very far fetched ...if you type in google "why warhammer failed" you'll get a million pages of things that went wrong with launch for that game and who was to blame, and how screwed managers are an how over worked the devs get and then they still fire them. in fact till like last month the main few posts that came from the source were up and running an they finally shut them down for some reason but they still all over the net. a fired dev went into huge details, and then after that many other devs from ea, and other mmo's came out and posted there too and how bad it is and how bs the way these companies run there mmo making.

fact my favorite post on that site came from a dev from gw, he states that the big guys up top told them, who cares what the customers want, we will make it how we want and they will like it. in reality this is always in my head in these forums cause in reality i don't think any of the shirades of voting and posting what we want or don't want will make a big diff. specially not in a game that is going correctly and not trying to take whatever money they can from whoever they can.

But I understand that some may feel the compelling need to try (and fail) to spin this negatively.

it was exactly what u were talking about, u'r right nothing to do with op. but the last few posts it did, i added that towards what was being said about someone elses post. i didn't fail. everything i typed is a fact, and it don't take a brain surgeon to think every company is running there business kinda the same and same problems occure. get your head out u'r butt, if i'm negative it cause the convo was pushed to negativity. i'm happy joy they hired more people, still don't think it really means squat in reality to me or most who expecting a certain type of game play.

GW (I'm assuming Games Workshop here since you mentioned Warhammer) is an extreme example. They are a failing company in recent times and many people have left them for brighter futures. Prominent modelers left to work with Privateer Press, writers and designers have left for Blizzard, and others have left for FFG.

That attitude of GW (the we do what we want, charge what we want, they buy it) has sent them in fiscal turmoil lately. They became a giant in the 80's and early 90's, everyone was buying anything if it had that GW logo on it. They in turn got extremely greedy. Which then in the late 90s turned into extreme pretension. Essentially, "if you cant afford our games, we don't want you in our games" became their moto. And people loved that. The Warhammer games then became cult like during that time.

Now they are in so much trouble. The have priced themselves so out of the market of table top gaming that its not even funny anymore. If they lower prices, they piss off all the people whom have invested thousands in the game, if they keep prices high they lose the growth effect, if they do nothing they just stagnate with what they have now. Warhammer models and such are banned from being sold online by GW, if you didn't know (http://www.thewarstore.com/TheGWInte...ersPolicy.html) . The reason - they want uniform prices so no one can sell them for really cheap, again to keep their "economic appearance" of a high end luxury toy. And boy is it totally retarded in recent years.

They are feeling the effects so bad thats why they started licensing out the name and lore to anyone who asks. If you ask a bum on the street "Hey tell me about GW" the only thing they definitely will know is "No one touches their lore and lives!". They have always been extremely protective of their "babies". Now though? They have licensed it out to movies companies, Mythic for the fantasy MMO, THQ for RTS games, first person shooters, and now third person action, Blood Bowl to the small and horribly unqualified Cynide Software, etc. etc. Their company beliefs are slowly changing. It's just, sadly (as I LOVEEEE their lore they developed for 40k and WHF), its too late.
