I apologize if this question is redundant. OTL
I read through the HW Q&A, and I saw that it said flying mounts wont be able to fly in ARR areas. However, will we be able to use them as non-flying ground mounts in ARR areas?
Thanks in advance. (^o^)/

probably? i dont know why you would want to though, as they are slower on than ground than non flying mounts

i believe you will (i dont have any sources) but i think the flying mounts will move slower on the ground compared to some other perm ground mounts

I can't be completely sure but the mounts have no restrictions so they probably will though flying mounts on ground go at 90% of the speed of the ground mounts.

Ahhh, thank you all very much! ^-^
Flying mounts move at 200 in air and 100 on foot. there is no restriction on them except the flying part in ARR areas.

Once again confirming this. Flying mounts will have both flying and ground based movement available, and as such should be useable in their non flying state in ARR areas. Likewise, certain existing mounts, (Ahriman, Bomb Palanquin, and a few others, as well as chocobos), are scheduled to be granted flying animations at a later date, though from the last I heard, with the exception of your company chocobo, they won't be available to use at launch, as the creators have to first create the animations for these mounts. For your GC chocobo, you will have to undertake a side quest within Heavensward in order to allow it to fly......
