Going back through the series, Samurai wasn't so much the monster dps machine that people know from FFXI, but was more a master of techniques designed to disable or otherwise hinder the opponent. This is the samurai I'd like to see if it were to be a dps. We already have enough brute physical dps jobs. Exactly. Someone I was grouped with said they'd like to see a more free form combat form than we have right now with most DPS. Instead of set "chains" the Samurai would have a few different abilities that can be chained in multiple ways for different effects. It would make for a bit more tactical gameplay and less rotation based play.
