Just curious what kind of macros everybody uses!
I could use more SCH macros :^)
Just curious what kind of macros everybody uses!
I could use more SCH macros :^)
SCH Macros that I use:
1. Enhanced
/ac "Adloquium" <t>
/pac "Embrace" <t>
2. Enhanced Physick
/ac "Physick" <t>
/pac "Embrace" <t>
3. Enhanced Lustrate
/ac "Lustrate" <t>
/pac "Embrace" <t>
4. Focused Virus
/ac "Virus" <f>
5. Swiftres
/ac "Swiftcast" <me><wait.1>
/ac "Resurrection" <t>
/p Raising <t>! <se.13>
6. Medica II ~ish
/ac "Rouse" <me><wait.2>
/pac "Fey Illumination"
/ac "Succor"
/pac "Whispering Dawn"
I think that's all the ones I use.
my most used macro is:
/focustarget <tt>
while i'm healing the tank. yeah, a bit lazy^^
I know some people dislike it, but I do recommend a raise macro. It really helps your healing partner to know where resses are going.
I like my dps-skills to be a bit versatile by using macros like this:
/micon Ruin
/ac Ruin <tt>
/ac Ruin <t>
And for heals, 'cause using mostly mouse-over:
/micon Physik
/ac Physik <mo>
/ac Physik <t>
And of course the announcements of Virus, EfaE and Rezzes.
Hm, thinking of making a macro for ranting about ppl who use their virus (especially BLM and WHM) without thinking about the 70s immunity or hard-hitting attacks where it would be more appropriate to use it.
I like to have my dots/nukes tied to embrace since I prefer if my fairy already has the heal going before the tank gets hit.
/micon "Bio II"
/ac "Bio II" <t>
/pac "Embrace" <focus>
Where I focus the tank, same basic thing for bio/miasma/aero/ruin/ruin2.
If anyone else gets hit either drop cleric and heal them if its big damage or just back off dps for a second until fairy starts healing them, or target them and force an embrace.
It's not recommended to use any macros on either healer because you can't queue macro abilities which causes them to be used a bit slower than they would be without macros (for example, if you're chain casting Physick without a macro, you can queue the second cast 0,5 seconds before the first one finishes, and the second cast will start as soon as the first one lands, while when you try the same with a macro, you need to start casting the second one after the first one has landed which will cause a small break between the casts). This is a problem with macros in general and applies to all actions. Additionally, Embrace has a different recast time than your heals, which means trying to cast them always at the same time (in same macro) will cause you to skip some Embraces.
The only macro I've used on my healers is Virus on focus target when I want to use it on a boss or another monster while I need to stay focused on healing a tank, for example. But I haven't used it either since Turn 8.
Macroing Embrace to other actions seems genius when you first try it, but avoid it if you're using a keyboard. A hotkey for mouseover Embrace is amazing and should be used so that you can pump out fairy heals without securing a hard target and while doing anything you want.
Also avoid tying Eos' cooldowns together or with Rouse; hitting buffs as you require them isn't difficult, while automatically lumping everything together can be wasteful.
I totally agree that anyone should use macros for those queueing abilities. Especially on PC. On PS4 you have limited visible space, so you have to rely on some tricks to stay optimal. Unfortunately I'm not at this optimal level, so I still rely on some macros:
There's some skills that only activate when target is under 20% health, I macro them with my combo starter so i can use them more efficiently, since they are off GCD:
/ac assassinate <t>
/ac "spinning edge" <t>
(the optimal would have it separated because some of these skills give bonus when you kill the target, such as hp heal, and you would want to control the timing. But I just hit buttons like crazy and press any proc that i see in front of me, so it wouldn't make that much of a difference)
I also have a macro for
/ac swiftcast
/ac "shadow flare"
(I used to have a wait on this macro because of the animation of swiftcast, but I found out that your selection gliph appears during the cast of swiftcast. As you position it, the cast of SF will be instant. Swiftcast-Flare is also good. You spam that button and have a flare faster that you would do on a controller - well in my case, I say)
I agree with topic above that every healer should have a macro for raise, and you should warn your healer partner who you're Rezzing. My macro is:
/ac swiftcast
/ac presence of mind
/ac surecast
/wait 1.5
/ac raise <t>
/p Rezzin <t> <se.8>
(As you can see, you use whatever you can to speed up the rezzing process. The skills won't be cast all at once, they will be cast as they are available. SCH doesn't have presence or surecast - at least mine doesn't - so its just swift-wait-rezz-warn. If i take the wait off the macro, you would need to spam the button and you would be spammin the /p thing and getting kicked off in an instant)
Last but not least I don't recomend macroing embrace, at least to your physick. Leave your fairy so she can heal other target as needed. If no other target is below 80%, she will heal the same target as you're healing - if he's below 80%, if he's not, you dont need her to heal anyway - but i like the lustrate-embrace combo, I use it a lot.
The only macros I really use are dps targeting ones, and healing macros to simulate a habit from years of healing on wow that I WISH this game would just let me set but it doesn't so I use macros and extra hotbar space. Oh and o course the res macro0- though I don't macro swiftcast to res, I just have the /p announcement tied to my res directly since I often use SC for other things or may res when SC is on CD.
My old wow thing was to set tank as my focus and have alt as my focus-cast key. so now I just made a macro for my heals that is cast heal on the focus target and they are on another hotbar with alt+key as the hotkey for it >.> example-cure is on5 tank cure is alt+5. then I use the alt space that would not be a heal for more spells, or for similar things when the heal is centered on me. example- 8 is medica, alt+8 is medica2
As for not queueing macros, I have NEVER had this problem with my method when having to spam tank heal. Plays very smoothly.
