I would also not use Succor in his Fey Illumination -> Whispering Dawn Macro. If you need it you can cast it yourself, otherwise you are restricting yourself again.

I have this macro:
/ac "fey illumination"
/ac succor
I think it works wonders. Specially in the beginning of the fight when I cast a powerfull succor. People told me before that fey illumination is best to be used situationally, but this way I think it's best like this is, cause I will use it as soon as ready. I use Whispering down more situationally than fey illumination and I want to know your thoughts about that. What do you think?

This morning I was just thinking about if it will be possible to get a good macro for when AST's card buffs come out. To notify via chat who is getting the buff.

I don't use macro's. I don't advise the use of them either unless it's for announcing purposes. But perhaps what I have might be suitable for you. This does require a gaming mouse with multiple buttons, though. Although this game does not support any gaming mice with more than 5 buttons, you can keybind them with the software of the mouse yourself to a specific button. Such as [, ] and \ or configure them to have the last couple of numbers on the hotbar: 8, 9, 0, - and =.

So here's what I have:
Basically, 1-6 (with and without ctrl/alt) are scholar specific abilities. Anything I have bound on my mouse are fairy and emergency abilities. I do this in favour of muscle memory. My left hand controls my character's movement, spells cast and abilities used. My right hand controls my fairy and some emergency abilities such as Lustrate and Sprint. I placed Lustrate and Sprint on my mouse so I have zero chances of butterfingering them with my left hand.

Heel is on my left hand side, as I call the fairy towards me, rather than away (left hand -> retrieve, right hand -> position)

Didn't realize this was a thing...I have never had issues with mine although mine has a switch on the bottom to consider the buttons on it as the numpad on the keyboard or the normal number bar on top. Was funny when I got my new laptop which doesn't have a numpad, I had to connect a separate keyboard JUST to hit numlock on it so my mouse would work properly, and then never touch it again.

The only macros SCH should be using are pure Embrace macros, most often <tt>, so you can spam it where you want, and some <tt> or <mo> versions of the non-GCDs like <tt> Virus or E4E. Most other macros you could want would be for communication, like having a Ballad macro or other forms of communication in a PUG setting where you're not in voice chat.

I'll be honest most of the macros in this thread are either giving up control of Embrace in favor of laziness/less nimble fingers/cross hotbar space, or are just plain goofy.

For WHM there are no helpful macros outside of <tt> and <mo> versions of Virus/E4E or communication macros.

As a healer, I personally use the below macro for all of my dps skills as well as Virus :

With bosses focus targeted, this allow me to both heal and dps without switching targets, the inability to queue dps skills as a healer is a small price to pay compared to pressing T repeatedly to switch between MT and boss.

It is so hard not to cringe when I read these kind of threads. I don't have time to write a long post here. I have quite a few macros and some very in-depth info in my faerie guide I wrote (see my signature for the link). In my not-so-humble opinion, I am fairly confident my pet macros are about as good as possible. My healing and attack macros are very good as well, although there is a lot more room for "different styles" instead of "better or worse" in that department than with pet control macros.

Speed read, apologies if someone has already mentioned, but I thought these are worth sharing regarding macros for SCH. Two in one macros that swap hotbars when switching Faeries

/ac Summon II

/chotbar copy x5 x1

Replace pet actions and summon action depending on which faerie is active.

I heard of some people who swear by unique hotbars for cleric stance too.

Macro cleric stance with a hotbar swap and dps focus bar for CS and healer focus bar when without.

Edit: it's probably buried now, but there was a great thread somewhere on pet management macros. Summon + pet stance that makes it so pets are default to Obey etc

for example:
/micon "Stone"
/ac "Stone" <t>
/ac "Stone" <tt>

if i have a valid target that target gets attacked, if not the targets target gets attacked if possible which is useful to keep the tank focused while doing dmg to the tanks target (mostly a boss)
