Another day, another trial, another DRG sticking to the status quo.
Relax OP this is completely normal when you have a drg in the party. Just shrug it off and "git it did!"

Reason why I'm in no hurry to bother with the expansion.
It's both..

Next time just leave the DPS burn under Ifrit. So not gonna waste an occasion like that to eat him with my soon to be DRK!

if the DPS or healer pull, let 'em tank. People do that a lot on HMs.

Even if you were undergeared, I'm on your side in this case OP. If someone wants to pull before everyone is ready, let them face the consequences. I know in particular I had a WoD run earlier where a PLD pulled the 5-Headed Dragon when half of us were still out of the room, then proceeded to run from it towards the side of the room after just a shield throw instead of tanking. If people want to start the fight before everyone is ready, let them burn.....
That being said, as I do play healer from time to time, I can understand the stigma against tanks going in with gear that's just "good enough" to enter the run. In particular, I healed a Hydra run for a friend who was working on their relic last night. We had two tanks. One with full 110-120 gear, and another with gear that must have just hit the iLevel requirement, as all of their accessories and most of their main equips were below even level 50. Guess which one tried to MT? They were doing fine in terms of keeping it's attention, and while clearly new to the fight were able to learn the simple mechanics associated with it fairly quickly. That being said, because their health was lower than all but one other party member, just a single hit or two brought them down to "one hit and they're dead" status. Which meant as a healer, if I stopped for even a moment to heal anyone else or remove a status effect, then they were almost guaranteed to die. I'll admit that this is in part because I'm not the most spectacular healer there is, and as I said, I only heal from time to time to speed up the DF. I'm also not the best geared, with an average iLevel of only 100, as any Sands and Oils of time I've gotten have been going to upgrading my main, (and WoD hates me for drops that could actually be useful to me). BUT, I shouldn't have to be the best healer in the world with max iLevel gear in order to keep both the Tank and everyone else alive. As it was, it was a very difficult experience from a healing standpoint just because I had to babysit the tank's health to keep them alive due to them not being able to take a hit. After wiping a couple of times because the tank went down due to various reasons, (status effects, being a bit slow to come back from dodging an AoE, the DPS not killing the add quickly enough, ect), I suggested that the better geared tank take up the MT role. That next attempt we made it without a single death, and with no issues when it came to keeping the tank in good health......
My point with this story is, that there is a reason that tanks are expected to have better gear when compared to other players running the same duty. I'm certainly not going to say you need iLevel 110 gear for something as easy as Ifrit HM, but going in with just the bare minimum as a tank can be a lot more costly to the group than any other role doing so. Is it fair? Of course not. Is there reasons behind it, (at least from a healer perspective)? Yes.....
Still, like I said though. In this situation, I'm on your side in that it was clearly a bad group, and ultimately that DRG was to blame. The only real thing you can do is ignore people like that. They're either trolling, or are in a giant rush for no good reason......

In the case of Ifrit HM, though, it is quite literally the third to final step for "good gear" since it's part of the relic weapon trials. You start by finishing your relic, THEN you gear up the rest of your junk. If you get really lucky, you win a weapon on Ifrit to tide you over until you finish with Titan, and thus your relic. I would rather someone, especially a tank, finish out their i90 weapon before spamming Main Scenario roulette for tomes in order to beef up the rest of it.

A lot of people are doing HM fights for relic lights and most of them are overgeared and burn through them. Perhaps some people were expecting this but they could have at least said something. Sorry you ran in to these jerks. Hang in there!
Also not waiting for protect is just RUDE! /whmrant

If that had happened while I was healing, I'd have let the dragoon die so the tank could regain aggro. There's no excuse for intentionally causing difficulty.
Indeed as a tank myself impatient idiots come with the job if they pull die then bitch and moan tell them otherwise and if they dont just say "Don't like it leave, No ones forcing you to stay" as a tank you need to be strict with most impatient fools and there's alot of them out there, If you can't be bothered dealing with them some days just stick to your FC like most tanks do these days.
When there's no Tank's to tank and no Healer's to heal these DPS will be the first to cry and they only have themselves to blame, Keep on Tankin Sister! ^.^

As a healer main who did play warrior to 50, I totally understand what you went through. I've had the same shit from people towards my warrior and mind you, my warrior is i111. They were shouting shit because I wasn't i130......
I think everyone could have done things better. The healers could have casted protect faster, the dragoon could have waited, and everyone should be supporting you tanks.
I just chalk it to mean people, but really there are tons out there who are way nicer. 10% are assholes, but focus on the awesome, kind 90% of the community.
