With the coming changes to monster link system, one idea is an alert aggro that sends mobs of that species fleeing or creating such a cluster that it might be difficult to target an NM of that type in the flock (think of a bunch of hoverfly swarms surrounding a "queen")...this could make it harder to farm for a certain drop on lower level mobs...maybe even an NM that flees with sight aggro and if not corralled, despawns after a set time....not so much a suggestion, something like this is definitely not needed...just an idea
