Amazon Pre-Order Codes?

For those of you who have pre-ordered a physical copy of Heavensward from Amazon, has anyone received the 18 digit pre-order code yet?
I have contacted customer support, who told me that the promotional department will send out the 18 digit codes "by June 19th".
While in other places it says that the code will come "with" the item itself on the 23rd.

Anyone have some more concrete info on how Amazon plans to go about this?

I'm having the same issue. I was told I'll get the code when the item ships. When I tried to follow up and confirm that this was correct I received a reply that answered pretty much every question except the one that I actually asked. So, I don't think that even Amazon knows how Amazon will go about this.

Well Amazon should know better than us surely. Also state what Amazon you mean as they operate in different countries, ofc.

I was so worried that I would never get my code from Amazon that I canceled my preorder with them and I preorder from the psn store.

I could be wrong, but I think Amazon will charge you when EA starts. This also happens when they'll release codes. They do this so you don't get your code then cancel your pre-order, thereby getting goodies for free. This is NA Amazon anyway.

Ordered from amazon on the 4th and still haven't gotten my EA code, upon looking further into it I noticed this line:

combined code that will be emailed before the Early Access period begins. This code will be sent no earlier than 6/19/2015.

Above poster might be right and they won't send out codes prior to EA actually starting which means no preloading and dealing with squares site after it actually launches, which if anything like 2.0 means... well the site won't be working and you won't be able to enter your code anyway. Giving it a few days but odds are if I don't have it by the 15th I'm gonna cancel the amazon order and get it from square directly, the downside is that I used amazon giftcards for it so it would mean spending real money instead. Might call them up and ask about it, email service is worthless with this as they'll look at you asking about a code and send you a generic response about it 'being sent on the 23rd' without actually reading the email.

Amazon frustrated the hell out of me. After pre-ordering, their pages didnt say anything about early access. Then I read someone said they called and was told they werent even going to give out pre-order codes. Then the product page said theyd go out like 3 days before release (so on early access day). Last I checked it said nothing.

I just dropped it and went to greenmangaming. Got my code immediately, and someone here was even kind enough to supply a coupon code with like 20% off.

I thought Amazon is only going to release the game (the physical CD game) on 23rd June? So, no codes or early access?

That's how I thought it's going to be anyway. I pre-ordered it from there because SE store doesn't ship to here

But I don't think 1 week of missing HW is going to THAT much of a loss. You'll still be able to play it and you'll get in with the second waves of new players, so less chance of DDOS.

I said nope and ordered directly from square enix online store. Got my codes immediately and don't have to worry about waiting until the last day and hope they send them out. Screw that.

Thanks for this info! I just cancelled my amazon pre-order and found coupon: 20PERC-ENTOFF-JUNE20 which worked! I never heard of the website before but glad I saw your post. Fyi....the coupon code goes in the "voucher" box if anyone else still needs to buy a copy!
