Well, you could, but I would think there's a chance that since this is a massive maintenance it could get cleared or something and your fantasia would be wasted. It's a bad idea imo.

Maintenance hasn't wiped my Fantasia yet, and I've left it riding on my character since the beginning, of course there haven't been any to add stuff this big but I imagine they wouldn't erase it or SE would have to deal with irate customers.

I wouldn't cause you don't know what the maintenance will do and stuff about your character may be reset.

From what I've understood after the maintenance, just before early access, we will all have to download the HW client regardless of our account status. Those with early access codes will be allowed to access the exclusive content, including Au Ra so there's no reason after this that you couldn't race change if you have early access.

I thought about this as well but I don't think I'm going to chance it, even on a busy server queues never take that long and really, there probably wont be any more people than already play the game yet. (More will probably try to log in at once, but I think its mostly going to be existing players preordering for early access, just dont try logging out in one of the new zones). The big maint might clear it, it might not allow you to select au ra if you used it before they were implemented, I dunno Im not a game dev so I'd rather just deal with the queue.
