Female Midlander & the Sleipnir Horn Inquiry

To be fair, if I'm not mistaken, the game does place you in side saddle position when wearing dresses and certain robes.....

Unfortunately, it does not.

Elezen and Midlander females ride side-saddle, (as far as I'm aware) the other female characters ride normally. The only mount that allows female characters to ride side-saddle is the Ceremony Chocobo and that is because it forces every female (even Lalafels, I believe) to that position (even if there are two females on the same mount). There are also a few mounts which do force Elezen and Midlanders to sit normally (as pictured on the first page with Sleipnir), but for the ponies they sit side-saddle which is unique to those races.

I would love to /cpose to side-saddle. I used to take riding lessons and we had to learn how to ride side-saddle for parades and other events, even though it was a pain to get the hang of, I really love how it looks.

Riding sidesaddle in real life can look quite elegant, but it just looks silly in this game. I surely don't like it and won't ride any mount that forces me into this pose. If there was an actual saddle it might be different, but bareback seems unnatural. Just my 2 cents.

My male Miqo'te would love to ride side saddle, too. I like long robes and coats, and the clipping is awful while riding astride D=.

Men, traditionally, don't (ever) ride side saddle.

Somehow on a horse (even if said horse is mythical) side saddle doesn't feel right to me. On chocobos on the other hand yes...like Fang from Final Fantasy XIII (somehow the side saddle on chocobos looks right to me).

lol just remove the saddle from horses then side saddle for all. (I think that's my issue with side saddling horses or anything on four legs with a saddle)

Side saddle is the most inconvenient and uncomfortable way to ride a horse.

The only thing it makes easy is getting off the horse.

+1 for sidesaddle cpose for all. Whenever I have a long skirt/dress glamoured, I cringe a bit at the clipping.

It was mostly due to it being "improper" for a woman to spread her legs in public (at least for most European cultures). Not to mention, it was a bit awkward to sit astride in a dress without just bunching the dress right up to your hips and exposing your legs.

The whole sidesaddle thing in games makes me roll my eyes though, mainly because the devs obviously have no idea about riding sidesaddle. You actually need a special saddle to do it without just slipping right off of the horse. (It's especially funny to see characters riding sidesaddle bareback!)

Indeed, you need, ironically, that phallic projection to wrap your leg around. XD
