Recruit a Friend Campaign

Hi there!

It's interesting that especially with Heavensward coming this hasn't been talked about yet...

The "Recruit a Friend Campaign"! I feel like it needs an update.

Since the campaign started, no changes have been made to the possible rewards for additional time your recruits have spent in Eorzea!

If we look at the recruitment campaign for other MMO games, they treat it similarly to the current Subscription time model in FFXIV, where landmark time periods earn further rewards for both the recruiter and the recruited.

I feel that people who have managed to lure invite new players to the game, and end up sticking around (earning SE an additional subscriber) should be even MORE eligible for cool rewards for doing so!

It would be cool if they made it so if your friend stays longer you get more things for the both of you, but I'd prefer it if they didn't go the Blizzard route of having to recruit several different people over the years. Just put the mounts in the cash shop if you're going to do that, I sure as hell don't have a lot of friends interested in the MMORPG genre. /rantover

Yep I agree! Not a # of recruits, but rather the length of time your friend(s) subscribe after being recruited by you, and they get additional rewards too!

FFXI's gave rewards up to 365 day subscription times from recruitment, along with options of what items you could choose. A similar route here would be nice.

can a japanese account recruit a na account?

I believe so? It's all done through Mog Station, and you need to send a recruitment request to your friend, who then when they create an account enters your recruitment code. I believe it is compatible with all regions.

NA recruited EU here. Worked just fine.

so what you want is:

Friendship Circlet
STR+1~8 DEX+1~8 VIT+1~8 MND+1~8 INT+1~8 PIE+1~8
Increases EXP earned by 20% when below level 50.

where the stat values increase by 1 every six or seven levels like the COP rings in XI?

edit: The person you recruit doesn't even have to join the same server as you for the bonus to be obtained.
