FATES are very quick, especially if FATE groups are running. when leveling NInja I could not get a que (it was like a 2 hours wait). If FATES are spawning at a good rate though you far exceed the experience for the same amount of time in a dungeon. It all really depends on the situation you are in though. You of course always do your challenge log (all items that apply) and do your hunting log. just be vigilant and get to every FATE and don't get lazy or it will just take you longer.
