I just bought a Samsung EVO 850 500GB SSD last week off Newegg for $179 and it came with a $30 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive FREE. Changing out the HDD to an SSD on the PS4 is super simple and DOES significantly increase your load in times. Do it if you have the spare scrilla and want better overall perform out of your system.

Upgrade to PC master race, but go all out, Titan X and 4ghz i7.
    ..

    Really.
500 GB SSD are really coming down in price. That would be the signal best change you could change. That being said. Spending ~$200 on a SSD to upgrade a $350 PS4 seem kind of a waste to me.

Some just can't handle those 5-8 second load times. I need less. Teleport to a new zone, take a drink of my favorite beverage, look back at the TV and we're there dude. I need ssd, no taking drinks, get a move on.

Is there a way to do this and clone the drive?

If you can find a flash drive large enough to copy whatever you want to transfer over plus the ps4 start up software, it's actually quite easy to do. Check Youtube for videos on how to do it. Installing/removing the drives is also extremely easy as the system was designed with doing this in mind. I used the 128GB one that I got free with my SSD from New Egg.

I would really like to spend some money to buy high end PC master race, but sadly there won't be Final Fantasy XV and Star Ocean 5 on PC :/

Yeah but at that point, you might as well just get a PC, even a $400 PC outperforms a PS4 when it comes to just specific mmo performance.
Then if you choose to spend over $1000 on it, then whooooo it's a good life

P.S. Not trying to hijack the thread, but really $200 SSD.. it's a lot cheaper than what it used to be but still

All I can think of is keeping it dust free, well ventilated, turn off some effects and upgrade to a larger SSHD. The only other things to improve performance involves a router than can handle very heavy loads and upgrading your internet connections speed and/or bandwidth. At some point (everyone get's it) there's going to be a ton of data being sent back and forth, and the bottle neck will be at it's slowest point. So if there's more people in one general area or spot, doing something to the same target, or full server. Then it wont matter. If everything is at max performance gameplay will slow down and lag slightly for the sake of processing all that data. Now if you are always getting performance issues with everything else. Check your HD/system, Router, and ISP. Usually it'll be one of those three.
