The translation between new traits and abilities could be unclear but the fact that they outwardly stated there was going to be no new traits after level 51 in the interview was pretty straight forward. It isn't confused with abilities because we know that we are getting abilities after 51.

I'm impartial to it either way of doesn't matter to me one bit.
