Will DRK be the same as PLD?

PLD has straightforward cooldowns.

The strange part about DRK is that a wide range of their skills is magic based, such as their pull attack and probably the aoe dot they can place, meaning they wont benefit from slashing debuffs as well as war and pld. It's also the only tank that can amplify defensive cooldowns.

What I'm hoping is that dark knight is the highest difficulty tank with the trade-off being a wide variety of tools, otherwise I won't even bother. I love my warrior but the only challenging aspect to that job is timing inner beast.

To Op. no DRK won't be likePLDs at all! I think they will be the exact opposite of PLD. I don't like PLD due to it being too simplistic. DRK is definitely the most complicated out of all the 3 tanks... i wonder how many people will still to DRK once they start reaching end game content. I hope I like it myself..if so I won't be starting 3.0 for awhile... if not...well Dragoon here I come!-again lol.

DRK will have you stance dancing to keep up with your MP-stance and Tanking-stance.

So... no not like PLD at all.

But side question, why do you say PLD is a boring class? Sure, it has like what, very few oGCD abilities and most of the oGCD are buffs with moderate cooldown, but hey you gotta give credit to the class for having one of the best survival kit there is.

There is no stance dancing grit and darkside can stack.
