Gonna finally purchase my beach house in Mist! Then work on everything else lol.

1. Call in sick at work for the week.
2. Become the hero Eorzea needs! (A DRK with actual tanking exp)
3. Complete the Main Scen and two new beast tribes.
4. NEW RELIC, YAAAY
4. Fly around Ishgard like a nut whilst getting a fair share of Alex under my belt.

I'm honestly excited mostly for the following things, and in this order;
1. NEW MUSIC (so far I LOVE the Ishgard Theme) the reason I play FF games is for the music & settings.

2. Ishgard. It's gon' be super pretty yes, but I actually believe great things will come from having a large central hub in XIV. The community is currently too segregated to LS and FC chat only, I think having everyone located in one big main city will do wonders for the social dynamic of the game.
3. DARK KNIGHT YASSSSSS

I'm mostly looking forward to levelling my White Mage to 60 while playing through the continuing story campaign. For me, the story is the one driving force that keeps me coming back, and I want some payback on a few people for a few events prior. I just hope they don't sweep the last story under the rug entirely in favour of the dragon wars raging on. I need some closure.
Aside from that, exploring the new areas will be a priority for me. I love finding new places and seeking out interesting landmarks. I've been wanting to walk through the gates of Ishgard ever since I saw it in the green hills of Coerthas (yes, they were green once upon a time) pre-calamity. To explore the city itself will be a dream finally realized.

My friend and i are going to level our mains together initially to 60 I'll be going WHM and he'll be going SMN (he's actually my cohealer) after that it's going to be a race between him and I to hop on the AST bandwagon and level that bitch. Frankly I'm super excited about it, he says its going to be his new main, but I'm also quite interested in it as well. Double AST healers maybe? :P
Aside from that I'm quite excited to see all the new maps and fly on my sexy Griffin mount.![]()

I don't understand what everyone is so excited for. I haven't even bought HW yet. (I couldn't possibly be the only one?)
Everything about HW that I've seen so far is kinda blah to me.
Let's not flame me either. It's just my opinion.
I think the expansion is going to be really fun. The only real concern I have is that the content will get burnt through really fast. Especially since the endgame got a shortcut put into it, so people can beat it with much less effort and hours now.
But other than that I think the game will be really fun again for me. I'm looking forward to playing content at an appropriate item level and not 40 item levels higher. I still think they need to make dungeons that are much closer to the current maximum item level. But that's a different discussion for a different thread lol.

Stave a dog for long enough, and even a bone seems like a feast. In all seriousness though, I think a lot of the excitement stems around the fact we've been recycling old content ad-nausea for many months now. The cycle has been highly predictable, with new story quests added here and there.
There has always been three new dungeons in the 'expert' roulette, with the older ones relegated to the 'hard mode roulette'. The latter of which now has a mile-long list of dungeons attached to it due to a lack of originality on SE's part. There has been a constant replacement of old tomes with new tomes, relegating older equipment to dungeon drops and yesteryear's tomes to the scrap heap.
It's always been the same dance over and over again, just with new flourishes.
For me, and I presume many others, it's very much a chance to break away from this cycle. There will be a multitude of new areas to explore, new quests to enjoy, and ultimately a vast amount of fresh content to get our teeth into. To use my earlier analogy, it's giving that starved dog a sirloin steak instead of a bone, served with a garnish on a silver platter. Of course we're going to eat it up. We've been hungry for quite some time, and it's finally time to feast!

You're not. Still wondering wether I'll buy the CE or the standard edition.
The first thing I'll do though: pray the Twelve, Primals, Ascians, Yoshi-p and RNGod before turning my Kirimu coat into a shiny materia ! Hopefully it will be an interesting Crit V so I could sell it 4 or 5 millions gyahahaha !!
After that... dunno. Gonna do some quests to laugh even more at Alphinaud probably.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to a lot of things. If I had to pick three though, it'd be these, in this order. Continuing the story and seeing how it progresses, exploring the new areas, Machinist.......
EDIT: Also, fishing. I want to see what new fish I can find within Ishgard. I made it a point to finish grinding my fisher up, and blowing 1mil on gear for it just so I could have at least a halfway decent chance of catching a few wonders of the sea......
