I will be going through the whole story from scratch as a female raen who fled from doma after losing everything, rp wise she will be looking for a peaceful life and will be going cnj/whm up until heavensward where everything falls apart.. again x.x then from there i will level dark knight and turn her xaela, same appearence just lighter skin/hair (pale with white hair instead of fair with blond) and with red eyes instead of blue.

I will keep her dark knight until certain story things happen in the future, and then switch back to whm/raen afterwards when she can kind of move past the burden everything placed on her and settle back down in Gridania

It is going to be alot to do over but the rp potential <3 it must needs be done.

I'm actually going to level AST during early access because I don't want to not be Au Ra in the main story cutscenes, but not have anything expansion-wise to do. :< I wanted to go MCH first because it seems like everyone's going to be leveling either DRK or AST but AST is just too damn spiffy.

Reading how a lot of people are taking time off or prepare to not leave their house for days so they can play, I reckon early access and launch will be disasters. Lag lag lag disconnect and BACK IN QUEUE. Probably not as bad as Warlords of Draenor launch when they had to go get new hardware to stop data from overflowing. People got their experience and location rolled back a few minutes worth, characters couldn't be found and instances didn't load.

Excited to see the story and class changes though. And we get to fly!

Except WoW didn't have an early access period to smooth out logins.
WoWs problem had more to do with the fact that the servers were contracted due to declining sub levels, which all came back in an instant for the expansion.
Ironically, the rather rapid content updates we have here have seen fewer subs bleed off between patches (In WoWs case, most of its subs were lost during an 18 month content drought), so we will not have such a massive influx of players.


From ARRs own launch, they sorely underestimated just how many players were going to be here, hence the emergency maintenance's we were getting along with the upgraded hardware before things settled down.
With 3.0, we'll have more or less the same number of people online during Early Access as the day before it. When the 23rd rolls around for the rest of the players, a lot of us will have moved on out of the first zone, thus smoothing out the server load.

I won't say it'll be a perfect launch, but I have the feeling it'll play out much like a regular day for us.
Keep in mind that there is an emergency maintenance right before Early Access goes live anyways.
