ETA of the next Lightning event?

I've been scouring around Google for days trying to find some hint of this event returning, with no avail. Has there been any mention of another Lightning Returns event for this year? I know before, it was for a special occasion but, as a hardcore player/subscriber, I would like to see it happen again. I like to make new characters, and explore Eorzea all over again quite frequently, but I really only want the Lightning hairstyle I was only able to get on my main toon. I'm one of those OCD players, and feel that certain hairstyles that are obtained by participating in old events should be made account bound. If anything, buy-able through the Mogstation. It may just be wishful thinking, but I'm sure I'm not the only subscriber who feels this way. I still plan to be a faithful subscriber with or without Lightnings hair, but I REALLY, REALLY would like to see it account bound.

Probably never? The previous times the FFXIII event (and for that matter, the FFXI and Dragon Quest events) were active was to coincide with other events (the launch of Lightning Returns and the 1st anniversary of service of ARR). Although it's possible that it might come back as part of the celebrations for launch of Heavensward, or when Lightning Returns is launched on PC, this is just a big assumption on my part, and the development team have not said anything to my knowledge about it.

It was not an annual event. It was a promotional event for the last installment of the FFXIII series. It will never be back.

They may put items from the event in the cash shop some day...
