I dont know what i need to buy.

Hello , when i enter to the mog station and select "Transfer to regular service" and then Purchase PC license , it costs 19.99 €.

But on the Square Enix page it costs 9.99€ , so i would like to know what i should do.

If i buy the game from the SE page , paying 9.99€ i would receive a code to Transfer my account to regular service , and i would get the 30 free days etc , right?

If not , whats the difference? im so confused.

Also the code that i may get from buying on the SE page for 9.99€ needs to be used on "ENTER REGISTRATION CODE" when selecting transfer to regular service , right?

    Thanks in advance.

PS: Atm im in a free trial account .

    Just tested it

    Hey

I had the same problem, now I decided to buy the game via steam (it's 10€ there too). I got a code which I could use to upgrade my trial version, so there is no need to get the 20€ upgrade.

Just note that if you buy and apply a Steam license, all future expansions will need to be purchased through Steam. If you get a Windows license, you can get copies from traditional brick and mortar stores, SE, etc. in the future.

At least that is what is going on now...people are trying to get that changed though.

    Edit:
Was poking around to compare purchase options, and there is a notice up right in the middle of the page at the SE store warning us:
Notice: This product is not compatible with the Steam version of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn. If you’ve purchased FFXIV: A Realm Reborn on Steam, then you must also purchase FFXIV: Heavensward on Steam to upgrade your existing account.

If he has the stream trial his account is already a steam account. He would have to make a new account and start all over.
