Maybe call it "Tidal Wave" ... Then that gives the option for the WHM to either "buy the party time" or "setup an AOE burn".
Your idea is great! Bad naming though. Whirlpool is a better name for this spell and it would be awesome for flare, shadowflare and the new aero if it was a circular aoe. The discussion is: Healer should pull every enemy towards him/herself, or should instant cast it on the ground like that freeze spell that noone uses?

On topic, my stance is still that white mages don't need more attack options- they're getting two new ones in Heavensward, and Fluid Aura falls somewhere between "Niche uses" and "Really annoying" for anyone who isn't using it. The only reason I could see getting a new offensive water spell, especially with how impotent the elemental wheel is in 2.0 and further, is if it did something besides damage that helped a white mage's kit. Preferrably something that compliments healing. Maybe a spell that moves a debuff from an ally to an enemy, or something.

It would have been a better thread without all your white mage hate.
Your the one who was mutiposting.

And for the record, both threads are asking for the same thing so I think that justifies it.
If your stance is still that white mages don't need more attack options, well good for you, that's your opinion.

But I'm telling you now, stop harnessing me and my free speech, your not the forum police. Do it one more time and I'm reporting you for haressment.
    As you said:

What I always thought would be a cool water based spell is a rainy AoE. It could be both a damage and in that case would be used like Shadow Flare, or a healing one which would be like the new Asylum. Or both like Assize. Though the cool factor would be the rain effect.. Would be so amazing. Other than that I prefer holy spells.

I've always felt that water had more affinity with WHM and healing but that's just a personal aesthetic opinion. But still, WHM are suppose to be wind, earth, and water but they only have 1 water spell, one that's hardly ever used cuz its fairly underwhelming and on a cool-down.

Esuna has a very watery spell effect. I'm sure most of the Conjurer cure spells are supposed to have water affinity.
