    Macro Delay

For the love of...please bring back decimals for macros. I play on ps4 and theres just too many skills and buffs in my rotations to effectively play. Its not very easy to keep swapping cross bars to get to my skills and it gets easy to get fumbled up and blow a combo.

Setting up macros helps tremendously with this...being able to keep everything i need on one cross bar. The problem is that macros automatically round up to the next whole number causing a noticable delay in skills. Heck even allowing wait timers with .5 in them would be excellent.

You could try the other setup where you hold L2 and R2 to get different cross bars (L2 first then R2 gives one side, R2 then L2 gives the other side. It's effectively 2 cross bars without hitting R1 or holding R1 then pressing a face button). I don't use it, but some people really like it. I prefer the hold R1 then face button. Only macro I use is a party chat one as a general warning that people will need to dodge something big or whatever :P

There is such a function. You can type "/wait" into a macro followed by a number, (up to 60 seconds), and it will delay the macro at that point......

EDIT: Just reread your post. I've never noticed that they round up to the next whole number. Setting the wait at .5 has always seemed to me to have less of a delay than setting it to 1, or even .75......

    EDIT:

I use this. It works pretty well, but does take some getting used to. Because of my class though, it's particularly useful since I can just press R1 to switch between my current hotbar and my pet hotbar, while retaining a static secondary hot bar that this accesses.....

He knows that, he is talking about decimals. If you type "/wait 2.5" it will wait 3 secons

Edit: I just read that you edited your post, forget me

I'd prefer they fix the situation about macros being unable to be queued like regular abilities first.

The cross hotbar is what gamepad users play with.

even if macros were made to have decimals, from the sounds of it, what you want would make you play worse, not better.

How would it make me play worse lol? I have two combo macros on my bar. The skills take 2.47 secs to recast...but since macros round up it makes me wait 3 seconds between skills. If i could set the wait timer to 2.5 it would chain my skills much more effectively. Where i really see the issue however is when i want to use an instant cast ability followed by a skill such as power surge into jump. It requires a 1 sec wait timer but manually u can instant cast them. Without a 1 sec wait timer in the macro both skills try to cast at the same time...resulting on a no cast for jump.

What happens if you're in the middle of a macro that has a combo and get interrupted? I'll tell you. You have to start over=DPS loss. What about if you get a lag spike and your next ability in your macro didn't que? I'll tell you.You have to start over=DPS loss. What about if you're in the middle if a macro and need to use a cooldown to mitigate damage? Yep, you guessed it. Point being macros aren't intended for the purpose that you are using them. It makes you dependent, you never learn to get better and develop muscle memory so you don't make flubs in your rotation. I have 8/10 battle classes at i110+ and I play on PS4 and have never had a hotbar problem with finding space for a single class. Macros are just bad news when used that way.
