New Lotting System?

So I'll copy and paste what I read about the new Heavensword update about this:

New Looting systems available
Pre-made parties only
Lootmaster
Party Leaders distributes drops.
Auction
Players can bid on drops with gil.
All Greed
Players are unable to roll Need on drops.

I am a player that played FFXI for years, and it was not abnormal to wait a year for your "turn" to lot on the loot your party got. I'm going to have a hard time with this new system, I think the system we have in place is fair. What is proposed for the new system will allow leaders to get all the good stuff, just like in 11. This is one of the key attributes I really enjoy in FFXIV. This coupled with the relic back-stab, I really don't know if I'll keep playing. I thought I'd play this for years and years, I've been playing since 1.0. It just takes the pleasure out of the game. Is anyone else disheartened?

Just don't join a group that uses the new system? It states for premade groups.

Yeah I can completely understand your concerns here, but like what Virin said, it's only for pre-made parties. If you talk to your friends I'm sure you can come up with some solution or compromise. Maybe they'll even agree that the current system is better and just stick with that. No reason to get upset or quit. I don't think it takes pleasure out of the game because I think having more options for people is always a good thing and I trust my friends enough to know this won't be an issue.

I think where this will really shine is in loot parties where you can call loot before you go and nobody can be a jerk and out-greed you on something you called anyways. Of course there is the All Greed which, frankly, is even more impartial than the current system.

If the Loot Master can choose from a pool of all the possible drops ....then premades/ raids can gear up faster. A pre-determined priority system will be in place for pre mades hence while this will be very effective.
