Thread: 3.0+ Midgardsormr Progression Thread

Please use this thread from Patch 3.0 Onward.

A note about the previous thread:

Since the previous thread is being maintained by someone on another server, I think it would be best if the thread from patch 3.0 onward is maintained by actual Midgardsormr residents. However, I'd like to thank Kaen for his service in maintaining the thread for us even though he left the server long ago.

I plan to use this thread for all future progression tracking on this server. Once new patches are brought in previous progression cycle tracking will be contained below in a spoiler table.

2.2-2.4 Progression thread by Kaen.

Changes from the previous thread:

1. Primals will not be tracked in this progression thread: As the point of this progression thread will primarily be 8 man raid content with weekly lockouts, this does not include primals.
   
2. Alexander (Normal mode) will also not be tracked in this thread: Due to statements from Yoshida explaining that hardcore players will most likely have cleared all 4 of the new turns of Normal mode within 2-3 days from release. As such, I do not believe it is something that warrants being tracked in a progression thread. If this somehow appears not to be the case when 3.0 launches then this can be changed.
   
3. The main goal of this thread will be to monitor Alexander (Savage mode).
   
4. Tracking will now be done on a raid static basis, rather than on an FC or linkshell basis. However, raid groups can still choose to have a Free Company association if they wish. A group must show a 6/8 membership count within their raid static from an FC to have their kills receive an FC association. If this requirement is met, the appropriate tag will be added to the group's listing. For more information, please see the submission criteria section below.
   
5. All raid groups have been removed from the list for the time being to clean the list. Submissions will not be taken until there has been a verified Alexander (Savage Mode) kill that meets all submission criterion. For more information, please see the submission criteria section below.

Submission Criteria:


General Rules:

1. As of 6/7/15 the list has been cleaned and will remain empty until the first Alexander (Savage) kill submission is received in July.
2. Groups will only be added to the list when they post to verify a kill for a specific turn (assuming the submission meets the appropriate criteria to be accepted).
3. This will be accomplished by tracking individual raid groups, rather than purely by Free Companies or Linkshells. This allows for variation and should help foster a stronger spirit of competition on the server. The idea is to reward individual raid groups for their accomplishments.
4. Raid groups and their kills will be listed in descending order based on when they cleared. Multiple clears from the same FC will also be listed in descending order, and just have the FC tag attached.

How to add a Free Company association to your raid group:

1. To have your kill associated with a Free Company, your raid group must consist of at least 6/8 membership from that Free Company. Anything less will be considered an unassociated static. The only difference is that a «TAG» will not be associated with your progression unless the 6/8 membership requirement is met.

First time Submissions:

1. The name of your raid static
2. Company Tag «NAME» your group is associated with (If applicable)
3. Website (If applicable. If your raid static has a website but is not affiliated with an FC then you can have your link listed under the name of the group rather than the FC)
4. Kill Date & Time
5. Screenshot verifying the kill (Some kind of valid proof)

Continuing Submissions for already listed groups:

1. Include which already listed group you are apart of
2. Kill Date & Time
3. Screenshot verifying the kill (Some kind of valid proof)

any interest in showing multiple group progression within a single FC? i think it will galvanize the progression thread and increase interest as there's a lot of FCs with multiple raid groups.

It's funny you bring this up... I was thinking long and hard about this and this is something I actually really wanted to implement. I would personally enjoy putting each group every FC was willing to list/provide if they have multiples (and linkshells of course) and pit them all against each other. This way, if a particular group from a particular FC/linkshell gets server first/second/third on something then people know who and it's a cool reward in its own right for those people in the group involved.

The only thing I was worried about was the fact that this adds a lot more things to track to the thread. I know some server forums cap it out at like "only the top 10 clears would be listed" to combat this. What do you guys think? We could always do it without setting a limit, we'd just need to keep track of a lot more things (though I am fine with it!)
