Did you assign a point in another stat? I know a lot of people applied 3 stats during the Alex phase in order to save the gil/speed up the process, intending to go back later and rework the stats. If you went this route, perhaps there is a glitch in the re-assignment after the fact--or you still have an odd point elsewhere to get rid of? If it has 5 Bonuses on it, then you still have an odd one you need to replace.
