Anyone else having issues with the Steam Pre-Order CD - Key Code Entry?

I don't know if I'm the only one, but when I go to enter my code into the Mog Station after following the directions I'm getting The entered code is invalid.

I did also pre-order the PS4 version from the SE store, and used that pre-code via the pre-registration link, and it worked, so I'm just curious why my steam pre-order isn't working.

I did put in a ticket, but didn't know if anyone has seen this same issue.

would you even be able to put in two preorder codes for the same account?

You'd have to be able to since they are making everyone buy the game for every system attached to the ID

that's what I'm afraid of. I don't know why HW is not region-locked in my country like they always do with FFXIV. not sure which version I'll get from Steam. I'm using NA account and hopefully they're not giving me EU code.

Does the code start with RF2A? If not then you may be copying the wrong code

true, but they may have made it so only one preorder code works per account. kinda ruins the ability to play on anything you want, but they may want people locked into one platform for EA.

I am. I even tried the other code just for a laugh. I'm not able to do it either.

Might be this causing you issues?

I just talked to an agent. Are you using a straight Windows 1.0/ARR registration code? If you didn't use the Steam code at your original registration, it won't let you redeem it the Steam code. They're incompatable. A Windows code needs to have a Windows code, while Steam code has to use the Steam code.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Maybe this will help:

I purchased the game when 1.0 was released. It wasn't on Steam back then, so I registered with the code that came in the box.

I later purchased it on Steam for ease of installation. The Steam registration code for ARR is still available to me should I ever want to.

Because I used the code for 1.0, again with it not being available on Steam, I HAVE to use the code for the pre-order of the Windows version of the game, and Steam is incompatible.

It does. I'm just in a wait and see from SE support at the moment, hopefully I'll hear something more this week.
