I see that here in this expansion and I can not do anything without a helping hand that will cause frustration, you will have to see in the eyes of someone who doesn't have much help and this game is not friendly when you ask for help.
Considering that most open world non-FATE monsters will be complete pushovers I don't know why you're worried. Unless you're trying to do a FATE that's like 5 levels higher than you then I don't see this situation happening often as long as you actually know how to play the class you're playing. If you're truly having problems in the game's open world then I suggest finding a free company that is strengthening their numbers in preparation for Heavensward. I'm sure you'll find plenty of people who are willing to group up for experience. If not, then as Shneibel says, there's a Gysahl Green for that.

What in the heck is a CoP, a ToAU, or a WoG? The OP looks kinda like a bowl of alphabet soup. o.O

FFXI expansion acronyms. Chains of Promathia, Treasures of Aht Urgan, and Wings of the Goddess.

I recommend you to test it out with fighting against 2-3 enemies with the same level as you at the same time in the new zones.

I've heard before that Monks have a hard time soloing content, but even if I have 6 enemies on me as a Bard, they can't kill me if they only have melee attacks. Heck, if they're casters, then I can just buff and down them easily. People in 130 gear should not be worried at all about the new enemies lol. The only people who will have trouble will be those averaging ilevel 100.

Why on earth are all these FF11 things? This makes no sense at all.

No being kicked off the servers constantly.

Like I said, in the new zones. Not in the old

By the way, for someone who's just level 50, is there still a feeling of being able to explore around all of the connected areas right away?

Yoshida: You can if you want, but there won't be anything going on so you might as well go in order (laughs). Also, the monsters that appear in the field areas of Ishgard are quite a bit stronger than enemies of the same level range before. In other words, even if you're the same level as the enemy you're fighting, if you got attacked by two at once, you probably wouldn't win unless you went all out with all of your buffs at the same time. So there will be situations where you'll have to choose whether to fight or flee.

When we were playing the test version, even at level 60 and item level 170, it seemed like it would be unreasonable to fight three or more monsters at once.

Yoshida: We've also made adjustments to the sensing range of enemies, using the beast tribe strongholds as a point of reference. For players until now, I think there was a point of view that you could just run through enemies on your mount even if you get attacked, but then it would be a disaster in beast tribe areas (laughs). So it's recommended that you cooperate with players around and move through the enemies one by one.

In the first couple of weeks of any expansion there's always a flood of players, new and old. I hope they're ready for that, because if they're unprepared, many of us aren't going to be able to enjoy the pre-order access, and many more won't even be able to enjoy the vanilla experience.
ofc they are prepared, but they can't do anything about it that a million ppl try log on at the same time...
It will help a bit that not everyone will pre-order/early access, but yah...it's unavoidable. It's the same in every single game...Like WoW, or Diablo3 as well, and i'm pretty sure that Blizzard ALWAYS expect lots activity, yet they suffer server crashes too.
so either you're the first to log in, or you just go to bed, and sleep out the crashes. or work, or school.
no reason to expect a smooth experience the first day

Are we talking about level 60 Beast Strongholds? Because it seemed like Zeonx was talking more about regular area content that you would actually use to level up/main story quest in. I would expect the Beast Strongholds to be difficult to move through at the 3.0 patch since there isn't a giant gap in gear level yet (though I'm curious as to how experienced the interviewer is at FFXIV, so if you could link a source to your quote that would be cool). I'm pretty sure classes and players who are used to soloing content probably won't have a tough time at all in these areas. I'm 100% sure though that an ilevel 170 Bard would still be able to take on 6 enemies at once as long as they don't have a ranged option.

I'm glad they made the field enemies harder too, because it was really game breaking that certain classes could kill enemies 10 levels higher than them.

Kyuven answered your 1-5 fears, so I shall not bother repeating.

I have no fears over the xpac, only certainties. There will be queues, maybe a bugged quest or two, unscheduled maintainance, lag, and the servers will go down. How often is anyones guess, but it's the norm for an expansion.

Enjoy what you can, and don't rage too hard when the inevitable occurs.
