What I do have an issue with - this is not a Japanese game. I mean, yeah, most of the devs are Japanese. But that's it. It's aimed at the international market, aimed at teens as well as young adults, available in dozens of countries, translated to numerous languages. It's not restricted to Japanese and it's not one of those games that are only available in Japan.

There are more than enough references/characteristics/events in the game already that are quite a bit Japan-specific, some so much so that without a basic knowledge of the Japanese culture, people don't even have a chance of understanding them.

Standards like clothing? It's not even a game set in Japan, historic or present day; it's a fantasy universe, with made-up places and characters. And yeah, like it's been pointed out - it's just not fair to the players.

Was I in a little better mood, I'd just say the only reason girls get guy outfits and guys don't get girl clothes is because they're simply afraid of the fact that many male characters would actually rock those clothes better than the females ever could. And that would be reason for another major outcry...

Women wearing suits and pants is not MY norm, it's accepted in most parts of the world. I also said I don't mind who wears what, and I also don't care if women wearing suits and pants triggers you. I hope you don't go out too often, because it's not that rare to see.
Guess what, games are made by REAL LIFE PEOPLE. You may not share their views on who should wear what, but that doesn't mean you can force them to change it.

Also, it's JAPANESE game made by JAPANESE developers.

What if they don't feel comfortable about it? You can't push your views on everyone else you guys.
They have yet to make a statement about this, at all...because they know it'll be treading on the grounds of hell.
Like I said and another person here said; the response would most likely be, "Make a female character if you wish to wear their clothes."

Ah, but as I aforementioned in the very same post you quoted, the male traits are interchangeable as clothes do not have the same definitive aspect when it comes to women's clothes.

I never once said any of that stuff was my "normal" I said, "what if I said" if you look back at the my quote.

Yes I do go out in the world and I see both men AND women dress in each others clothing, and none of it bothers me on any sort of level in the least bit.
Again this is a video game, where the devs want our feedback on any issue that arises, and the fact that there is an outcry from the Japanese forum atm (small, but there) means they share some of our sentiments on the issue at hand as well. In fact it was their update to their lodestone blog that actually tells us that the male outfit is being made for both the sexes where as the males once again, do not get any consideration.

You seem to be taking this on some kind of personal level, every time you emphasize something, and like I said I'm not really here for forum goers real life vendetta's on the issue. I never said I was against the developers vendetta's though if they did have something wrong with it, I would hope and wish they would at least be honest with us and say it, if it were true.

Then what if I said SE is already pushing against my personal views of me not wanting to see women in males clothing?

It needs to be rectified then, and men should only get to wear men's clothing, while women only get to wear women's clothing in the game. If that change were to take effect, then you can just change to a male character to be able to wear male clothing... it's only fair...

Outside of gender equality (won't get on it), why would men want to look like women? You can just purchase a fantasia if you want to look the part. This particular dress wouldn't match male physiology anyways and looks foolish.

And I'm gonna repeat myself here: it's not a product made to be restricted for the Japanese audience/market. Also - yeah, and cartoons like Tom&Jerry were (and are) also made by real life people. So what? Does not automatically equate to any sort of realism, because it's not an expectation.

While it would be nice to have the same outfits available for both males and females, I think the point is more the fact that the same number of outfits are not available for males and females. Because the gender restriction is apparently a one-way street, just like in the case of (low level) DoM and DoW gear.

Curious question. Do you know what a 'kilt' is? I don't think you do.

I dare you to walk up to a Scotsman in a kilt and tell him he's dressed like a woman.
