And this is why male avatars roll their eyes at girls complaining about the belly hole. Aside from the fact that some people like the way it looks (So I'll give you the benefit and say you're one of the few that says "Having both" instead of "JUST REMOVE IT CAUSE I DON'T LIKE IT") the people who don't like the way it looks complain about it on one hand demanding more sets for them, while simultaneously coming here and dismissing male avatars completely.

Female avatars really want to have their cake and eat it too.

Edit: Changed the wordage a little. I disliked that I put "Guys" yet differntiated "Female avatars" ... so I specified "Male avatars" instead.

You'll never see me suggesting something along the lines of that, partially because I think it's poor work ethic on SE's behalf and I'm going to put faith in their "We listen to the fans" mantra (Though there's a few threads that have gone completely ignored that I'm frustrated about >_> ).

Plus not like I care about folks liking the DRG AF's horrid design too much, I'll have the perfect jabby stick to stick folks who choose to wear it! I just wish I had an option to choose from if/whenever I level up DRG because I love the rest of the set! :P

I think these guys look great. Anyone saying the OP's outfit does not look good and that guys look like clowns in feminine clothing is absolutely ridiculous. Oh yes, there are some guys that look clownish, but those are the ones that are wearing feminine clothing as a joke and they often don't fit right, wrong size, and chest part of outfit doesn't work on a male, etc. It should also be pointed out that back when women wanted to wear pants, people thought they looked weird or out of place because you aren't use to seeing it. It's not because it looks bad. It's because your brain has been conditioned from an early age to believe this clothing is for that gender and that's all you have seen most your life. Men use to wear outfits very similar to one in the OP. Skirts and dresses were the norm for everyone at one point in time, and many were very feminine looking. High heels were invented as a man's shoe and worn exclusively by men before women started wearing them. Clothing is man made. It has no gender. It is not biological. That idea is a societal construct that keeps changing over the centuries. You aren't born wearing clothes. As long as it fits right, especially in the chest area, then you can't say a guy should not wear that. It should also be noted that clothing has nothing to do with sexuality. Sexuality is what you're sexually attracted to. Men should be able to have equal clothing rights as us women. We use to be in the same boat as many guys are today. No children in these images were forced to wear any of this clothing. They like what they wear. If anyone is wondering where I get all these pics and how I have so many, it's because I have archives of these on my computer found and saved through internet research as I study sex and gender on a biological, biochemical, and psychological level. These images are beautiful.

The following are images of how boys were dressed in times past. Each of these pics shows a boy wearing what in today's time would be considered little girls only clothing, but this further shows clothing does not have a gender. Of course prior to little boys reaching teen years, they were switched to pants, but that doesn't change the point. It is simply based on what other people in your time period teach you to wear, like brainwashing. And in these time period it's perfectly normal male clothing. The truth is it doesn't matter what time period it is. If it isn't biologically linked to male and female, then it does not have a gender. No one is born wearing clothing. And even in today's world, depending on location, clothing will differ, including places where men wear skirts and dresses.

Love the art, Hito! Great post that makes lovely points, Samira!

I've got the top almost done; I'm having to adjust various things as I try out different designs but it's coming along. 0w0

Updated the op with a clotheless top version but I'm not entirely happy with it.

    Cool Image
This version is literally what modern male belly-dancers wear.

So with this set up, there really no real argument against it being a unisex set, as the the only thing required to make this outfit appropriate for females is add something to cover the breasts. In fact, I would even agree to the compromise of SE making the chest piece Female-only, but the rest of the set unisex.

I liked them all except the panty bulge. Seriously, that just looked gross IMO... not something I want to see. (And yes, I'm a straight woman. Doesn't mean I want to see a big bulge... yuck.)

But guys can look good in dresses and skirts for sure. It depends on their physique and the outfit of course, though.

I definitely want the top! I need something other than my taffeta shawl to wear with my Flames loincloth. Something for "fancy" occasions!
