Lets Use Gladiator as an example
Gladiator - 50 rank
Quest to Mastery (epic quest with awesome battles and cutscenes)
Gains a whole new Title at rank 1 AKA Knight, or Paragon, or even just a star by GLA
-Wouldn't effect skills, stats or anything, it would add higher level skills and tactics
- Gives the people who NM run exclusively, something more to do
-Throws in a whole new tier to sidequests, and adds a new tier to endgamers.
-Isn't a skill tree or class tree idea, doesnt require change to previous system just addition to what is already in place
-New challenges and npcs for those higher leveled master classes.
Some Ideas of what the Class might look like...
Idea #1
Before: Gladiator: Rank 50
After: Color Change to rank number and reset to 1 so... Gladiator Rank 1
Idea #2
Before: Gladiator : Rank 50
After: Changed Color of Class name, allowed to rank past 50. (Maybe to 99 for old time sakes? or even 100?) Gladiator: Rank 50-99 or 100
If you didn't change the class name, you wouldn't have to worry about adding in class specific Items, or making more class pictures. You could however change the picture symbol color maybe? I think it'd be exciting in this manner, give hardcore players something to be happy about, an achievement, if you will. That and, it would give lower level players a goal to shoot for. Come on guys! This is final fantasy! Add some wonder, add some achievement! We need the glory of the old days, thinking how badA** we were when we reached that next level! These games have the potential to capture everything that the classics were, giant maps, glorious cutscenes, a progressing storyline... You have an amazing team, and everything so far is amazing, but I'm already seeing posts of people who just NM once or twice a week for the hell of it. Give them a reason to get on, to socialize, and play together. I don't know how many will go for this idea, but I think it's a good idea... Just airing my thoughts... Thank you for any time and consideration you, and others, give to this thread and the ideas in it.
