    LoS Bug with Bio II or is it just me?

    On several accounts now of playing SCH, in certain fights I will be unable to cast the spell Bio II. The spell begins casting, then immediately cancels, as if the target is line-of-sighted, even when there clearly not. I first noticed this on the last boss of Tam-Tara HM and didn't think much of it, but it happens now and then and last night while in T9 I had this problem happen while trying to DPS the golems on add phase. I could be literally standing right behind it and get the "Los cancel".

    For what its worth, I use legacy controls and have "auto face target on cast" enabled. It only happens with Bio II, so similar spells like Miasma and Ruin work normally. The only common denominator I can guess at so far is every place I've had this bug there have been floor effects, such as the runes in T9 and the null zone in Tam-Tara.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

    Going to send a bug report anyways, just curious if anyone else has seen this.

    Did you cast anything before Bio II?

    Bio and Miasma has a "lag" from when you complete the cast, to when it actually sticks to the enemy. If you try to cast in that lag time, it will cancel it. I tried it myself.

    Other than that, do you yourself has lag? I lag between 0.2 to 0.3 seconds and I need to make sure that I stay completely still before I start casting. Because if run and stop and immediately cast something, it would be canceled.

    Also if you move or are still moving when you first start the cast. You have to stop moving for about 0.1 seconds before you can safely cast.

    To balance this, you can start moving about 0.3 seconds before the end of a cast.

    Wasn't moving at all, and wasn't lagging, and yea of course I was casting tons of spells all fight long, from heals to dots on Nael and all other spells worked fine. It seemed to JUST be Bio II and ONLY on the Dalamud Spawns. Its very weird.

    This has always been a symptom of lag for me. It was rare in the first year for me, nowadays it's pretty much become baseline. Another issue I run into is, for example, divine seal, then medica 2 right after... it will self interrupt sometimes. Another symptom you might see sometimes is you use swiftcast, but the next cast doesn't consume it if tried too soon. It can also happen on paladin when, for example, trying to fire circle of scorn (off-GCD) directly after Flash. Even though Circle of Scorn is supposed to be instant, it cancels/interrupts halfway through.

    If a VPN doesn't help, the only real solution is just to pace ability use. Wait a tiny bit longer before firing it.

    edit: As I think about it a bit more... were the dalamud spawns moving when you tried to fire it? I've also had Aero interrupt if, for example, I use it right as a mob passes through me (thus breaking LoS).
