Problem renewing subscription

Had game on ps4 and switched it to PS3 for my teenager after much inactivity. Installed fine, played for 30 days but trial ran out and now it won't let me buy a new subscription. Keeps giving me an error after I enter payment info. Does still say PS4 on Account Type. Is that the problem? Do I or can I change the account type somewhere? I can't find it. Any ideas?

Have you actually bought the game for PS3? You need to buy it for every platform you play on and from what you wrote about trial it sounds like you haven't actually bought the game yet? (although the free trial is only 14 days so did you mean the free 30 days you get with the game when you buy it and not actually a trial?)
