    One retainer with stone/ore/cloth/wood/leather (up to a single stack of each type, only what i cant get from a *beastmen vendor) and the other with animal and alchemy stuff + materia/etc.

    It still takes 10 minutes to churn out a stack of items with quick synth, and they wonder why more people aren't crafting, then they try to make crafting "easier" by introducing specialists etc.. Unless SE changes the entire crafting UI and its clunkiness it won't draw any people in.
    Not having the animation/ui delays in crafting windows (and inventory/storage as well) would make crafting a lot smoother.
