I think a gigantic Wind-Up Moogle would be best. If we were riding on a real Moogle then that would be cruelty to animals.

This. Also, for a series whose iconic mount is a bird, there sure are an awful lot of horses... 10 at last count (Unicorn, Nightmare, Xanthos, Aithon, Gullfaxi, Enbarr, Markab, Boreas, Sleipnir, Kirin*), as opposed to just 4 Chocobos (Company, Draught, Ceremony and soon, Black**).

*Kirin counts, because swapping fur for scales doesn't make it any less equine in body type
**Legacy Chocobos don't count until they are made available to the larger playerbase, Fat/Parade Chocobos aren't traditionally used as mounts in-series

Please, something more original than another different gradient horse mount. So much could be done for a mount involving moogles. I think a hot air balloon with a giant fluffy blown up mog as the balloon would be so cute, or a plush cushion swing similar to the bomb palanquin mount with moogles flying to keep it up would be cute and original.
