Has Anyone Experienced Something Similar? (PS4 Users)

Hello,

I know this is more of a Sony problem, but tried posting in their support forums and haven't got any reply yet. So I'm posting here to get info if anyone experienced something similar or can help me.

I don't know what went wrong. I've purchased FFXIV online about a year ago and I've been playing without a disc, until recently my brother installed the CD of the same game into my PS4 (He was trying something with his game account). After that, the digital copy has disappeared, can't be found in library or download histories and I have to put in the CD everytime I want to play.

I don't have a problem playing with the CD inserted except that my PS4 automatically ejects the CD while playing (apparently it's a common PS4 problem) which is very annoying.

Any idea where I can find the game, or is it completely gone, and why did this happen?

I got my from the trial version downloadable on psn

Did your brother create a new account on your PS4, or log into his instead of yours? Possibly it is still under his account and not yours. Also if you log into the PSN on a PC and go to your account does it show the game as downloaded under your transaction history? If so copy the number down and get a hold of support either call or live chat with them in the support section and give them the details as to what is happening. Good luck.

I think you're right guys, he was transferring accounts from PC to PS4. Maybe that's the case, he probably had to change PSN accounts in order to do that. Will check once I get back home, much appreciated for your replies :-)

I'm thinking maybe trying to see if you're not logged into your PSN. Since the licenses you get for each version is linked to ur psn. I had physical ps3 version but had an updated beta client. Also the ps4 version was physical version code from ps4 copy my ex bought himself last year. When I registered my psn to my ps4 I bought myself in march the xiv ARR was in my psn store avail downloads even though it was a physical copy code and I haven't had access to original disc for like 5months at that point. I had no problem downloading it off psn without disc access because according to sony, "I own it"
So yea id maybe check that. If u own physical or digital it shouldn't matter as long as ur logged into YOUR PsN. Since the licenses are tied to a single PSN acct.
