Cannot unlock Desynthesis. NPC doesnt give quest

Hi, any help would be appreciated.Have just come back to the game after a long absence. I played version 1.0 & levelled all my DOL & DOH to 50 during this time.
I cannot get the desynthesis quest from syntgoht in Uldah despite me having all DOH classes at 50.

Any idea if i have to be at a certain point in the main storyline or what im doing wrong. I have re-done all the mutamix quests again despite having the skills unlocked when i transferred over but nothing. Pulling my hair out here, any help would be appreciated.

Well, iirc, this is the quest you're referring to:



Aside from the main story requirement, it's a quest very early on in the game, so you've probably done it already. Only other thing I can think of is you're trying to accept the quest as something other than a crafter (you need to be in a crafting class to accept it).

Thx for the advice Shane. Have managed to get it now. Wasnt far enough through on the main storyline. All sorted now.
