    Recruitment speech help needed

    Hi Everyone

I have been put in charge of FC recruitment and am having a hard time of it. Firstly when I type in /shout in a macro I only get about 2.5 lines of text before I cant type anything. Secondly I cant think of anything witty to say. Can someone please tell me how to get more than 2.5 lines said and what to say?

    About our FC.

We are one of the very first FCs on the game, established August 2013. (I think one of the first anyway. The name of the FC is The First Order {FIRST} tag Rank 8.

We have a medium house with crafting tables, chocobo stables and gardens.

    We offer 24/7 FC Buffs.

We have a master craftsman, actually a few people that can help out with gear.

We offer a drama free environment and would like mature members only.

PS3/4 PC doesn't matter what type of system they use.

That's about all I can think of off the top of my head but Im sure I have left something out :P

I think the issue is that you've just described about 90% of the FCs in the game. What makes you unique and different? Do you offer RP? do you have a forum or a Facebook page for offline communication? Are you progression/raiding based, casual, or somewhere in between? Will people drop everything and help someone with a dungeon?

Back when we were actively recruiting in game, my shout went like this:

"Gotta work in the morning? Kids making a raid schedule impossible? FFXI veteran? Join SWARM - the midcore Rank 8, grown up friendly, LGBTQ friendly FC."

Unfortunately, even with our differentiating factors - the large number of FFXI veterans and the fact that we're almost all in our 30s - we couldn't get anyone off the streets to stay for very long.

In the end, we had more luck recruiting friends and family in real life.

I haven't recruited so I don't have personal experience but I'd suggest creating a post in your world's forum if you haven't yet. I'd say to focus on highlights like crafting help, house size and friendly atmosphere. Wish you the best in your recruitment efforts.
