Normally I'd agree with not making duplicate threads about the same topic as NA players are wont to do, however this one particular subject is a moral exception in my eyes.

As for handling the RMT situation, players who are caught buying gil should have a lengthier ban for the first offense, a 90 day ban for the second, and a permanent ban for the last. There needs to be a team of at least three staff per server actively banning, immediately, RMT accounts as right-click reported after verifying. No more of these batch waves. It's ludicrous and ineffective.

I don't let it bother me because I've been into mmo's for over 15 years.

Let me take a moment to appeal to your experience. Spend an hour on one of the younger servers during primetime. Watch the opening cutscenes, do the first couple quests, and laze about Ul'Dah for a bit. Check the MB prices if you're curious. In that time frame, draw your own conclusions.

If you ask me, Drako, I'd say this level of RMT spam is literally the worst I have ever seen in my 10 years of playing MMOs. Nothing else I ever played ever held a torch to it.

I feel very fortunate to be on Masamune. Though the RMT spam doesn't exist here (Exceedingly rare,) I still feel for those affected. Something needs to be done about this.
