    Colorblind modes

This is more of a suggestion/feedback, but the feedback forum appears to only be for the website.

Colorblindness is an easy thing to overlook, both as a developer and as a player; if you don't have it, you don't realize how much of a problem it is. However, for certain people with colorblindness, this game is practically impossible to play due to the fact that the Orange AOE markers are literally the worst color they could possibly be for most people with red/green colorblindness, as well as several other types which have problems with the color. Seeing as how the majority of the game has the orange marker on a green ground, it means that people with these issues will not be able to see the markers. Not being able to see the marker makes this game unplayable; you will simply die to them, not to mention people will assume you're bad or trolling for being unable to react.

Basically, we need a colorblind mode, if not just for the AoE's then for the entire game itself. Having the ability to change the color of the AOE's would go a great length in making the game more accessible to everyone while not creating an undue advantage or disadvantage to certain players. Seeing as how there is already a deafness/hard of hearing accessibility setting, this seems like something that should really be implemented as soon as possible.

I'm not colorblind myself but a friend of mine who's started playing is having trouble with them and I've been looking everywhere for some sort of solution. Unfortunately, nothing will be as good as a solution from SE themselves, so this is a simple thread to ask for some assistance with this problem.

I think this a must or at least some kind of color adjusting those little effects like we do with text already. I completely agree

I cannot vouch for red/green, but as far as blue/yellow goes the standard client is extremely colorblind friendly after modifications made. Your friend may just be looking for the wrong thing on the indicators. Looking for the shaded center color instead of the high bright boarders is probably what is getting them hit. Perhaps someone with a similar affliction can comment to assist. Is it a learning curve when everyone describes things in terms of color sure, but it is no harder to do once you know what to look for.

when it comes to colourblindness the SE developers are NOTED highly for FFXIV's colourblind friendliness, when it comes to ones that can't be avoided due to a more common colourblind scope or one with a much bigger demographic attached, they tend to use patterns to differentiate.

so if she is unable to see AOE markers is she not seeing what should look to her as a circle that is pulsing. or a line pulsing ect. when it comes to fights that use teachers (with the exception of t11) all coloured chains have a different pattern to them some thick and others dotted. then this boils down to communication, as the average player is going to should out green. which is natural to them. not thick or dotted. aka, your friend will have to adapt as much as she can, or she will have to change some settings on her computer screen to assist for now, until SE dose decide to make multi colourblindness friendly modes. (which they tend to do with every major patches, so 'keep your eyes pointed heavenward' they might be ahead of this and have something for differently abled people. :3

To be fair, they've been doing pretty well so far, but there's been a few occasions where they just couldn't see the marker. Either way, having the option to change the color of the markers would be ideal, as it would be a simple solution to many different kinds of color blindness.
