Ninja is good, but sadly as I just recently 50'd DRG I am not in the mood to level another DPS quite yet lol. Been sitting @ 36 on NIN since I decided to main PLD.

We need more tanks here in this game.
Yeah, a Ninja's okay.
...But can they bring an entire party back from the brink of death?! Ohohohohohohohohohohoho
no. But they can throw things.
...But is that as fun as launching arrows into your opponents' faces, and then SINGING ABOUT IT?! Ohohohohohohohohohohohohoho
no.

Three Ilm Knights, One Thousand Malm Road
I picked up Ninja on it's release, and before that, I was mainly a Monk. I've stuck with it up until a few weeks ago. I even went and got the Zeta for it. After playing with it for so long, I can honestly say it isn't as fun to use in fights as Monk is. There is no song and dance like there is for Monk. That alone makes me enjoy Monk more than Ninja. Also, maybe it was just constantly using Ninja so much that I've found Dragoon, a job I found boring originally, rather fun to play as. Maybe it's all of the constant big numbers. Either way, Ninja is fun, but I prefer the other two melee jobs over it. The Mudra lag doesn't help the Ninja's case, either.
Dammit... this thread made me wanna quickly level my rogue till i hit Ninja class. BUT MY MAIN'S A MONK OMAGAD.... >_<

Ninja is sort of a pathetic job, in and of itself. The topic of this title shoulda been: "Ninja: Way Easier and Way Lazier than every other class for higher rewards."
Mudra being complex? Please. Huton and Suiton are inverses of eachother. And your only other really often used skill, Raiton, is one short of Huton. It's extremely easy to remember with simple intelligent button presses, and the only challenging part of this is literally the fact that it can screw up due to lag. That's right - the difficulty of the design isn't in the class, it's in how good your connection is on a given day.
Dodging things? Ninja's move faster than everyone else, so they basicalyl get an ez-mode ticket for everything they do. Which is good, because your Average Ninja will be too busy eating dirt to actually do anything anyways.
While on the subject of dodging, let's talk about the Ninja run. - Think about the way Ninja's run for a second. They are literally collapsing their own lungs, and I could imagine Ninja's wheezing everywhere they go from trying to look like a Narutard "Believe it!"
Rotation? What bloody rotation? They have a 1-2-3 rotation, with two one-button b ranch offs from it. For comparison, Warrior is more complex as it has a 1-2-3 rotation with two two-button branch offs from it. ASide from that, one DoT to manage.
Ninja's by far the easiest class I've ever played, that gets rediculous numbers output for the sheer amount of non-work they put into it. Which is good, because most Ninja's I've seen are just plain bad anyways.
Sincerely
-Paladin, Warrior, Dragoon, Black Mage, White Mage, Scholar, Bard, Ninja main
(I don't play summoner or monk <_<)
Actually raiton is one short of suiton - see you got it wrong too xDMudra being complex? Please. Huton and Suiton are inverses of eachother. I find doton quite useful too.
Agree with you otherwise that it is quite easy to deliver as a job. And it being easy (subjective of course) coupled with its good utilities (slash debuff, damage debuff, different jutsu having different uses) and quality of life tricks (hide, faster movement speed, shukuchi) makes it enjoyable for me.
Actually, for all intents and purposes, it's both.
Sution: Ten->Chi->Jin ::OR:: Chi->Ten->Jin. End on Jin.
Huton: Jin->Chi->Ten ::OR:: Chi->Jin->Ten. End on Ten.
Raiton: Ten-> Chi ::OR:: Jin -> Chi. End on Chi.
So yea. I remembered it based off Huton because that was the "Next logical step" for me. But I could see someone learning it the other way, too.
Doton and Katon are situational. Doton the mobs have to be up (AoE) Long enough to be worthwhile. Katon is AoE burst. They're not really the most common of skills though, too situational to really bring up.
ninja has 2 dots and 1 debuff if warrior isnt present.
