Seperate armorer & blacksmith rank 20/30/etc quests

My suggestion is to make the armorer and blacksmith leves separate.

As you know you get a crafting class leve at rank 20, 30 and 36. This leve involves creating an item and in the end it rewards you with gil, and more importantly guild marks.
However, for some reason the armor and blacksmith guild leve are put together. The quest itself is different for both classes, but you can only choose to do 1. So if you do the rank 20 blacksmith, you can no longer do the rank 20 armorer one. It's possible to alternate, like r20 blacksmith, r30 armorer and r36 blacksmith, but that doesn't make much of a difference.

Because of this, anyone who has both armorer and blacksmith loses a lot of guild marks compared to other classes. To be exact:
    2000 + 3000 + 3600 = 8600 guild marks
    20000 + 30000 + 36000 = 86000 gil

Now, I don't care as much about the gil. It's nice that's true, but the guild marks are 10x worse.

Now, I can't really come up with a good reason for the developers to make this choice. I know there are some similarities between armorer and blacksmiths, but not more than other closes, and not enough to justify this decision in my opinion.

Being a BSM and ARM myself, I totally agree. SE, please make the 2 quests separate. 8.6k guild marks are alot.

Ironically I just finished up with some ARM class quests and got the BS book i wanted from the GS guild It _was_ nice that there were some books that are usefull cross-class.

I agree though, story wise, i want to see these seperate and i believe it was mentioned some time back by the devs that they were going to to look into doing this.

I seem to be the only person that has this problem, but the r20 bsm quest won't give me the option to make the xenophone thing to complete it. This screws me in 2 classes.

This is going to seem like an obvious question but are you going into requested items while in synth position and then clicking on the bsm quest?

I've tried everything, I've watched videos to see if I was missing something. The only problem is that it won't give me the option for a xenophone. It gives the option for 2 other synths though. The requested items screen just refers me back to the journal.

ARM and BSM aren't even my main crafts and I agree. I never understood why SE chose to stiff the two classes by making them share the r20 class quest. Usually someone who levels one class will also pick up the other as they are similar. Guild marks are hard enough to acquire in the early ranks. Doing something like this would be torture.

Is that the second synth? Read the journal there's an NPC you need to talk to for the recipe and there are material that you need to buy/get as they are not provided by the quest NPC.

It's the first synth, I did read the journal and had the mats on me in the first place. I've had the quest since January, I've tried it many times. I actually don't even need it for bsm as I got 4/5 books from gld and the other from leves. I'd just love to be able to do the r30 arm quest. I've also talked to every npc in the arm/bsm guild to see if I was missing something there.

Just put the ingot and stuff into the material slot as per the NPC told you and choose Mainhand/Offhand.

    Edit:
Note: The second you get down into synth stance/mode, hit 'requested items' then under the dropdown hit 'quests' then click on 'An Ear For Quality'. This should put nothing there, and you go ahead and add your materials and craft the Gramophone. But know that if you hadn't done that, the recipe itself wouldn't be there, you would only see the Birdsbeak Hammer head and the Bronze Pickaxe Head recipes. If you see only these recipes it means you failed to hit requested items and follow the instructions.
