I cant tell you for sure, but I think your SE account is not tied to steam.
A way to "convert" is buy FF14:ARR again (but this time, from SE/PSN store) and upgrade to HW.
Your chars will still be there.
At least, this is how I understand all this STEAM/PSN mess.
I must say english is not my primary language, so if you find some grammatical or syntax error, please tell me and I will edit my post. Thank you!!
my understanding is that it will be a seperate account entirely. I've tried to register a SE store code on my steam game account (via mogstation) and it gives a "code invalid" message.
Why are you in here telling ppl off? if the steam or psn stuff is not bugging you then? are you saying fans have no right to tell SE whats bugging them? there are so many down right useless post every day on the forums. And i'm betting you already have your game pre ordered? since it seems the non steam / psn users love to come in these post and tell ppl off or say stop asking and what not.
Wheres the 30+ reply thread that was created about this yesterday. You'll get it, don't worry, don't panic.
Right now, it is not about the panic for me. It is about the sheer lack of correspondence for Steam users who are 1) stuck on their Steam-linked accounts and 2) have gotten NO news about the state of preorders on Steam for HW for months.
I don't care about giving SE my money earlier or later--it is about the integrity of what SE is telling me and how much information they are withholding from us at this point. There are obviously some hiccups in the system right now and as a consumer, I want to know what's going on.
Look at the PSN threads--Bayohne responded promptly to that one. Where's our rep response? What I am reading from this situation is that there are simply not enough Steam players to worry about for now, and we are low on the priority list (assumption). Why do I have to make an assumption about SE? Because they are leaving me no choice but to assume due to lack of statements and clarity of their business with Steam preorders.
THAT is the problem.
Exactly. Getting no official response at all about it is frustrating at best. I'm starting to regret buying through Steam. If I'd had any idea it would be this much of a pain in the ass I would have just ordered from the SE store in the first place.
I submitted a ticket to Steam support asking about it, but I'm not really expecting a helpful response.
You're only just now starting to regret buying through steam? Haha. I regretted it the instant I found out it was its own version and I'd be forever locked into steam versions.
I didn't realize that until all this business with the expansion started. Then I decided to wait and see how things went. The expansion is less than 3 weeks away at this point and we still have no word on when we can preorder. :/
