Also not a fan of a tank Dancer but after my in-game husband switched mains from PLD to BLM, I've been noticing a huge lack of tank, either they don't want to deal with mechanics, are tired of getting the blame or just want to sit back and blast. A DNC tank MIGHT just make me tank instead, since I've always loved the class. Ugh, so many mixed feelings... D:

You can't have dps /tank/healer stances how I'm reading you want them so you tank stance queues you up as a tank you would need to spilt the job up with three job crystals like summoner and scholar or have them redesign the whole queue system which I don't see them doing.

Sure I can. Astrologian changes all of its abilities in different stances and white mages can be pretty good DPS-es with cleric stance. We need more tanks as there is a huge lack, but not everyone would want to play as a tank, especially not in solo play. And since dancers were never tanks before it wouldn't be propper to make them only tanks.

Dancer tank is literally my dream job. I would never even touch another job if I could play Dancer as a tank again.

The reason I don't play tanks right now is because they are all big and bulky. I want something graceful that gets the attention of their enemies. I would love to main the tank role but the job choices are super boring thematically so I'm stuck as a Monk until then.

Also I did play Dancer as a tank in FF11, it's very possible with Fan Dance which reduced damage taken and increased enmity. Yes they had a tanking stance.
