Sleipnir Useless in Heavensward?

Sleipnir flying sure is an odd thought.

I mean after all everyone knows that Odin always took the elevator down from Valhalla.

Not every mount needs to have some sort of hover mechanics or have wings attached to them to be able to fly. I would love to see some sort of road-like path of dark energies allowing Sleipnir to have flight powers, like gusts of Winds, lifting Xanthos up into the air making it fly.

I agree wings on Sleipnir would be utterly silly. Along with other Primals. However, if the White Mage Unicorn gets to fly, then turn it into a Pegasus, letting it having wings on it. THAT isn't so silly. But these air-type road paths for Primals/Sleipnir isn't a bad idea whatsoever. It would be awesome to see a trial of the Primal's element trailing behind them as they 'flew' about.

I will end this right now....who is going to use anything else but the Dragon mount once we finish the main story.....???? Anyone???? I will be using my Dragon and hopefully it has an action bar and we can swoop down and breath fire and scare the shi% out of players on the ground....LOL

I use my companion to level him up and hopefully teach him new skills.

Reading the Sleipnir doesn't/shouldn't fly comments and I'm going, b-b-but he does fly... As you said if any horse should fly, it should be Sleipnir.

As others have stated though, it was said all primal horses will fly at some point but likely not right away (same with a few other 1.0/2.0 mounts that will be made flying at a later date). Sleipnir is a primal mount, and to support that in terms of dev speech, when they said they will make the primal mounts play their theme music guess who also got their theme music added. Sleipnir~

As someone who has Sleipnir....I'm fine with it not flying or faster >.>...I'll still ride him and his epic walk emote. Not everyone gets their enjoyment crossing the lands as fast as possible. I love just walking on my mount surrounded by the glorious scenery.

Didn't people pay an extra 20$ for the Coeurl mount for CE ARR? That mount isn't going to fly (and if it does I'll be really surprised 'cause we have Coeurls as mobs in ARR and they definitely can't fly). I don't see them complaining.
