I would assume you toggle flying on/off. When off you would, I assume, get the full landspeed.

I paid for it. All I can say is I love that s$%t. The music is awesome, and I enjoy it. Why did I pay for it? Because I love the game and I am happy to literally throw money at it. Plus, as a social experiment it is fun to see how different people react to it and what could lead them to such reactions. Happy to grind a dungeon a couple of hundred times for a mount, but equally happy to pay for one.

Remember that flying mounts are slower than land-based mounts when on the ground. All of our non-flying mounts will still be useful.

That's quite the assumption. I've not seen anything that would indicate a toggle between flight and land other than simply landing.
